About this guide

This is an independent guide to using USPS Every Door Direct Mail®, centered on the EDDM Online Tool. It is not a USPS website. We aren't affiliated with the United States Postal Service, and USPS hasn't reviewed or endorsed anything here.

Surveyed November 7, 2026

Why it exists

The tool is free and capable, but it assumes you already know what a carrier route is and what the columns mean. USPS's own user guide covers the buttons. We cover the decisions: which routes, which filters and what to watch for.

How we check

  • Tool behavior comes from the USPS Every Door Direct Mail User Guide and USPS's EDDM pages.
  • Prices come from USPS Notice 123.
  • Advice is labeled as advice. Choosing routes is our method, not a USPS rule.
  • We don't use screenshots of the tool. The maps and tables here are our own drawings with made-up routes.

No sales

We don't sell printing, mailing or anything else, and there are no affiliate links.
